TDL162 Forklift Model
The TDL162 is a 1.6 tonne three-wheel lithium counterbalance forklift built around EP’s 80V dual-drive platform. EP highlights travel speed, lift speed, lowering speed, residual load capacity and max gradeability as key strengths, and notes the truck maintains its nominal 1600 kg capacity up to 4.35 metres with a triple-stage mast. The published turning radius is 1639 mm, battery is 80V/280Ah lithium-ion, and gradeability is up to 20 percent laden and 25 percent unladen.
That makes the TDL162 very different from the TDL161. It is still a compact three-wheel forklift, but it is built more around performance under load, ramp work and higher-intensity use. For Perth sites, it is a strong fit for busier logistics operations, warehouses with regular ramp access, or mixed-use areas where the forklift is worked harder across the day. Compass Forklifts can supply the TDL162 for purchase, hire or lease, with finance options available if buying outright is not the right fit.

TDL162 Forklift FAQs
Everything you need to know before commiting
Got questions about the TDL162? Here are some of the most common things we get asked about this compact e-forklift, from hire options to performance and suitability.
What makes the TDL162 different from the TDL161?
The main difference is the power platform. The TDL162 runs on 80V lithium and is positioned by EP as the higher-performance truck with stronger speed, gradeability and residual load capacity.
Is the TDL162 good on ramps?
Yes, up to 20 per cent gradeability laden and 25 per cent unladen, making it one of the stronger compact electric options for sites where ramps are part of the day.
Does it hold capacity well at height?
Yes. EP says the truck maintains its nominal 1600 kg capacity up to 4.35 metres with a triple-stage mast.
Is this more of a warehouse forklift or a mixed-use forklift?
It leans more toward mixed-use performance than the smaller TVL range. It is still electric and compact, but it is clearly set up for harder-working environments.
Can the TDL162 be supplied with cabin or joystick options?
Yes. EP references optional joystick control and an all-weather cabin with a heater.
Can I hire the TDL162 before committing to purchase?
Yes. If you want to see how it handles your shift pattern, ramps or heavier daily workload, Compass can discuss hire and lease options depending on availability.
